Our Catalog Cover this year was inspired by the BLUE MOON (the second full moon of a calendar month) and photographed on New Years Eve 2009. The photo makes a stunning background for the popular daylily DARK REFLECTION. Since each daylily bloom is a single day event it seems appropriate to feature them with an occasional lunar event.Also featured on our color catalog cover are the daylilies with names derived from the weather, FOCUS ON THE STORM, FULL MOON MAGIC, MOON OVER MONTEREY and MOONLIT MASQUERADE.
Each year there are thousand of daylilies introduced into the market. We continue to search for daylilies that have a WOW FACTOR and that meet our standards of great garden performers. Sculpting on bloom petals is new trend and we are enjoying CRAZY LARRY, EMPIRE RETURNS, and SULTRY BREEZES.
We tend to like plants that have multiple blooms open at once. JOY AND LAUGHTER, WEB OF INTRIGUE, CANADIAN BORDER PATROL, PAPILION, SOME LIKE IT HOT and FIRST KNIGHT put on great multi-bloom shows. We look forward to providing beauty for a day to the gardens of all our customers past and future.
